books, books and more books! that's the library and boy did angie know it. she loved the place for that very reason. being an avid reader, angelyn came here to read up on her favorite stories and about her powers. they had millions of books on how to control water as well as the history of elemental manipulation itself. the library also had books on how to control electricity, but no matter how much she read up on how to control it, the fear of hurting herself and others kept her from trying them out. thus, she was reading up on water today with a book on the gentle flow and shift of the element as well as the way you can freeze it into ice and evaporate it into gas.
however, her chocolate brown eyes just couldn't help but wander off the pages, cutting off words and skipping paragraphs. she was bored for she had read over the material a few times over. she wanted a real book, but didn't feel the need to get up. with a sigh, she let the book sit up as she pulled her head between the pages. closing her eyes, she let the silence calm her. that was another reason she loved the library. it held a calm silence through the many bookshelves. it wasn't like the silence she received when she could clearly tell people didn't want her there. thus, she cherished it for she knew she wouldn't have it for long.
angie's thoughts were immediately interrupted as the librarian tapped on the edge of her book, grumbling and snorting like a pig. eyes wide, angie straightened herself out and slowly met the lady's eyes. "uhm, is there a problem?" she murmured in the sweetest tone she could muster, yet before she could get a proper answer, she was immediately kicked out of the library door. oww, good day to you too. she thought in her head, sighing as she picked up her pure white backpack. angie had no idea what happened, but she knew it had something to do with her sister. her twin was always cooking up some trouble and she was sure to have done some damage at the library- although angelyn couldn't imagine what her straight-c sister would be doing there. shrugging away the whole situation, angie took a seat against the right wall of the school's hallway. there were a few people passing by, but none seemed to have seen what had happened- or so she hoped. with a sigh, she pulled out a book on water that she had bought herself. that would teach the librarian for kicking her out without reason. year right. sighing once more, she buried her head within her book and it wasn't long until angie gave up on the reading and began thinking about what she had done. what she had done, she didn't know but for some reason she felt bad. was it me? or my sister? did i fail to return a book on time? did i say something wrong? thoughts like that flooded her mind until she winced from the brain power. with that, angelyn took a deep breath and relaxed herself. hopefully, she would be allowed in the library again soon. words;; five six five !tag;; mason kim park !muse;; lots, but short post D: comments;; bookworms♥[/blockquote]

Most boys like football, most boys like to flirt endlessly with girls or guys, most boys like to sit around their room and watch TV until their brains turned into a goopy mess. Yeah, Mason wasn’t one of those boys. He wanted to read instead of running around, throwing a ball and thrusting himself at people he didn’t even know that well, he wanted to explore the wonders of words instead of watching them being said on a picture box, that was Mason’s idea of fun. He had heard the library was huge and had a ton of books on powers and how to use them, the first people to use them and all that lovely stuff, but that wasn’t what Mason was after, he knew how to use his powers already and true it might have been neat too know who was the first of his kind, he just didn’t feel like putting in that sort of effort. It would feel like extra homework too him and he just didn’t want to have even more stuffed piled onto his already mountain of things to do. He wanted to relax, so here he came library!
Walking in he took in a breath, it was like he had walked into the promise land, and he was about to sit beside god in a holy feast of knowledge. Wow, his brain was too active for his own good right now. He walked in and looked around at all the books he could have been reading, but no he didn’t want those he wanted something fun to read. Which landed him in the section for teens, well everyone was really a teen, so yeah. Mason picked around and then he noticed a little fight between a young girl and the old women who ran this joint, well this was a first, he had never seen anyone get kicked out of a library before, funny. Smirking just a little bit, Mason grabbed a book he wanted which was a book by Anne Rice and happily made his way over to check it out.
Soon he came out of the library and spotted the kicked out girl and just totally caved in to his wanting to go and tease her a little bit, he wouldn’t be mean, he didn’t like to be mean. “You know, I’ve never seen someone get kicked out of a library before.” He grinned warmly and sat down beside her, playfully tapping the girls head with his book.

angie's hope of staying invisible seemed to have failed as a guy padded out of the library doors, straight toward her, eyes gleaming with a sort of amusement in them. did she amuse him enough for him to walk over? oh how much she wished she had been granted with the ability to turn invisible -not that she already did that usually, but at this moment, it was crucial. she just wanted to melt away into her book or into the wall so the guy who'd actually seen her get kicked out wouldn't speak to her. too late.
with the light tap of his book against the top of her head, angelyn involuntarily squeaked, cheeks flushing a light shade of red quite brightly. shoot. does he think im some rebel who hates books? im not im not!] she thought in her head trying to find the words to tell him so, but her throat froze as she looked at him. this guy was certainly different. his hair was a whole range of shades and colors, and although he teased her, it wasn't the mean remarks angie had received from the many other power jocks of the school. adding to that, the guy walked out with a book not on his powers, but of an actual story. now she could see he wasn't power hungry nor out to master his powers. maybe he was a bit cocky. then again, he might just like a good read. suddenly, angelyn realized that she had been ever so staring at him for the past minute or so without even answer his question. blushing once again, she turned her dark brown eyes away and gave a light shrug. "n-neither have i and ive never been kicked out of the library before..." her voice was shaky and delicate as if she had been let down by a good friend, which the library really was. it was her friend who told many stories and helped her with her powers. it helped her more than some of the classes here, but now she was kicked out and there was no doubt that angelyn was going to go back and beg for forgiveness. "but, but, i-i-i didn't mean to get kicked out! i didn't do a thing!" angie whimpered, cautiously turning her eyes back on him. she hung her head as if she had actually brought shame on herself when she really didn't know what she did. angelyn's face brightened up immediately as she spotted the author of the book in his hands. she was right. it was a novel- not a history book. "you like anne rice too?" angie said, beaming. her voice was stronger now, for books were her strong point- not getting in trouble. a warm smile spread from ear to ear as she recognized the famous modern vampire novelist. she wrote many more, but vampires seemed to be her strong point. words;; five zero two !tag;; mason kim park !muse;; goodgoodC: comments;; ahahaha<3[/blockquote]

Was this girl a little mouse? From the squeak she gave off when he gently tapped her head, and from the way she acted he was certain. She was a mouse. This made Mason smile a little bit, it seemed this girl wasn’t one of those types to talk your ear off about pointless subjects like her nails or her outfit, but no she seemed more likely to talk about the weather, so Mason stayed. She stared at him for a long time, did his breath smell? Was there something in his teeth? Well now he was concerned for his own image, most guys would like girls to stare at them endlessly like stupid little pin up zombies, but Mason didn’t it found it strange and a little bit weird to say the least, if you wanted to stare, take a bloody picture. Shaking his head a bit he snorted softly at her explanation, well clearly she was upset about this, and it made Mason feel for her a little, yeah he would have felt like crap too if he were kicked out without even knowing the reason why. Sighing softly he sat down beside her like the nice guy he was.
“What book did you want? I can take you in with me and we can go together? The old women loves me.” He said with a snicker and then looked down at his own book and nodded. “Yeah, she’s beast. Lestat is ten times then Edward what’s his face from those crappy Nightlight novels.” He hissed softly, talking about those stupid sparkly vampires and that stupid girl who was just stupid and who needed to die in his opinion. He sighed softly and smiled at her, and offered her his hand. “I’m Mason Park, just started this school.” He said with a huff in his voice, that was something he would just have to get over, being the new kid and all. “So, you’r name Minnie, mouse?” He said with a smile, calling her a mouse for her cute little squeak earlier. Ah, he doubted he would ever let her live that down.

angelyn completely froze as the guy sat himself next to her. great, angie. you got him to stay. she thought angrily to herself, yet her thoughts melted at his next sentence for he seemed like a pretty nice guy. he was willing to take her in, talk to the librarian and get her a book- something she imagined she would do herself, but truthfully, when it came to it, angie would have probably chickened out and never read another book from that library again. thus, angie relaxed, relieved that he understood instead of thinking that she was some bigot like her sister who probably pissed off the librarian. "thanks, i really wasn't planning on getting a book. i was actually reading one when she threw me out..." angelyn murmured a bit more confidently. "but now that i think about it, a good book about edgar allan poe sounds nice. i love his poems and his tales." she smirked. just the thought of his work sent a shiver down her spine. they were horror stories that chilled her to the bone, yet she loved every moment. giggling lightly at his next comment about edward, angie bit her lip, trying to stifle a hardy laugh that would possibly echo through the halls and into the library, getting her into more trouble. oh how true he was. angie would kill herself before joining the ranks of the many other squealing little girls who fell over the sparkly vampire. her heart belonged to more realistic, sexy figures- even if they were just more story book characters. "i know right? what type of man sparkles?" eyebrow raised, angie couldn't help but laugh. she recalled those little bottles of white sparkle dust they sold -and still sell- around stores for girls to buy and sprinkle over their boyfriends. it was stupid in her opinion and it was all caused by the stupid girl who was just stupid and started it all. when mason offered his hand, she hesitated slightly. what if i accidentally shock him? what if i freeze his hand? what if my powers kill him? what if his powers kill me?" thoughts raged through her head, yet stopped immediately as his last sentence struck her ears. minnie mouse? her face shone like a bright red beacon. oh how embarrassed she was. why did she squeak? did he think she was stupid? angelyn bit her lip once again, averting her eyes in hopes of feeling a bit less vulnerable and a bit more secure. he was making fun of her. "i-i-im not m-minnie mouse..." she said in an attempt at a retort, yet she failed as always. her voice was soft and barely audible, but for some odd reason, she took his hand and shook it gently. "my name's angelyn north, b-but most call me angie." her eyes finally met his once again, shimmering and showing off their deep brown color. she never liked her eye color, nor did her sister, but they both had to deal with it. cocking her head slightly, angelyn pondered his previous sentence, before his little joke. new to the school? "oh, being the new kid must be hard..." angie could remember the time when she was new to the school. it was a quiet freshman year, but thankfully, she had her sister to gain all the attention. it brought attention away from herself. thus, she wasn't teased or poked at for being new. instead, she was just a freshman. The way she looked at him when he sat down, wasn’t very welcoming, well goodness wasn’t she a shy little mouse? He’d have to fix that, or at least so she wouldn’t be shy around him. He listened to her talk about what happened with her and the old mean witch who runs the books, he snorted a little bit, she didn’t do anything wrong honestly. He had been there the whole time and she really just stood there like a silent little mouse and did nothing wrong, Mason blinked when she mentioned Edgar Allen Poe and he grinned a little bit at her. “It was many and many a year ago, in a kingdom by the sea, that a maiden there lived whom you may know, by the name of Annabel Lee, and this maiden she lived with no other thought than to love and be loved by me. I was a child and she was a child, in this kingdom by the sea; but we loved with a love that was more then love- I and my Annabel Lee.” He muttered softly and looked at her, yes he knew his Poe very well, having read many of his poems or nearly all of them back in the day when he was on a poetry kick.
He groaned softly when she brought up that stupid Twilight again, and he made a face. “Minnie, I do love my food in my stomach, if we continue to talk about him then I will vomit.” He said in a matter of fact tone and smirked a little bit at her. She was cute, he couldn’t deny it. Like a little mouse. The way she tried to correct him and give off her own name, which he learned to be Angie, well it was cute and funny all at the same time. “I shall call you Minnie.” He said and smiled warmly at her and then watched some kids walk by them without even looking, or having a care in the world, wow must be nice. His brown eyes snapped back to her own. “I’m a senior.”

as mason began to speak once again, angelyn's gaze immediately stuck instead of turning away. he's quoting edgar allan poe... any man who could do that, would sweep any girl off her feet- especially angie and boy had mason done so. a gentle smile perked at the edges of her pursed lips, stretching until she held a wide grin of admiration and excitement. mason was now officially amazing- besides the fact that he teased her. right around the middle of the poem, angie began reciting them as well, whispering the words -or more like mouthing them- under her breath and with a gentle sigh, they both ended, voices soft and gentle. "wow..." she breathed, staring at him with glittering eyes. "you're- i mean, that's amazing! i didn't think any guy except for edgar allan poe himself would take the time to memorize his poems." angie just couldn't help but smile at him. yet it didn't last long. angie's smile dropped immediately as he called her minnie again, sending a wave of red to cascade through her cheeks once again- not that they werent already red from the sweet poem. however, being angelyn, she just let it go. she knew she couldn't fight him and if she actually worked up the nerve to tell him not to call her minnie again, her retort would probably sound like the previous attempt. thus, she ignored it and smiled as she found out that he was, in fact, a senior as well. "cool! me too." she grinned, before looking back toward the library doors. emmitting a long sigh, she couldn't help but imagine what would happen if the librarian still wouldn't let her into that treasure trove of books. angie would nearly die and her wallet would die as well. if she couldn't get books at the library, she'd need to buy some and buying books cost money. if and when she runs out of money, angie would have to start borrowing books, which required human contact- something that she absolutely terrified her at times, which was made obvious from her encounter with mason. "what if the librarian doesn't believe my story? i'm pretty sure i know why i got kicked out, but it certainly wasn't my doing..."words;; three nine zero !tag;; mason kim park !muse;; okayish. comments;; aha its okay XD[/blockquote]

He knew he impressed her by saying a few lines of one of his favorite poems by Mr. Poe, maybe she thought he only did it to pick girls up? Remembered all those lines, so he could just impress them and sweep them off their feet, well he’d have to make sure he wasn’t that type of guy right? So he got an idea and smirked a little bit, a wicked little smirk and took in a breath, now he knew very well that no normal guy would remember this line from another poem by Poe. “`Be that word our sign of parting, bird or fiend!' I shrieked upstarting - `Get thee back into the tempest and the Night's Plutonian shore! Leave no black plume as a token of that lie thy soul hath spoken! Leave my loneliness unbroken! - quit the bust above my door! Take thy beak from out my heart, and take thy form from off my door!' Quoth the raven, `Nevermore.' And the raven, never flitting, still is sitting, still is sitting, on the pallid bust of Pallas just above my chamber door; and his eyes have all the seeming of a demon's that is dreaming, and the lamp-light o'er him streaming throws his shadow on the floor; and my soul from out that shadow that lies floating on the floor. Shall be lifted - nevermore!” He snorted and gave a witty grin at her, slowly he reached over and patted her head gently.
“Now how was that Minne? I’m not normal, I have a great memory of the things I like, so.” He said making a hand motion, explaining how he could remember so much of a amazing poem, simply speaking he remembered things he liked, if he liked it or liked someone he would remember it very well. His gaze turned to her and he huffed softly, standing up and taking her hand gently, grinning. “Come, little mouse. We shall journey to the land of wonders and knowledge and slay the evil witch! …. I have a plan okay?” He grinned and pulled her from her spot in the little corner and he proudly walked back into the library, it wasn’t long before the old women nearly came storming over to shove the girl out again, but Mason wrapped his arms around the girls frame, pulling her back against his chest. “Ma’am my girlfriend didn’t do anything, I was on the other side of those books and she was happily reading away, unless you have some kind of proof that she did something, her and I are going to be in here often, that okay?” He said with a charming smile, yeah he could make older women blush and that the old women did, it seemed his charm was too much for her, so she said alright and for them to enjoy themselves and stay quiet. Nodding like a good boy he pulled on Angie and happily took her into the thick rows of books and smiled at her, yeah she so owed him.

angie's heart nearly skipped a beat as she was left breathless even from the very first lines of the poem. she immediately recognized it, grinning at the fact that mason knew it so well and it was indeed edgar allan poe. now she was sure he was serious about literature. she was so amazed that she didn't even flinched when he called her minnie this time. she only recoiled a bit as he patted her head, squeaking impulsively once more. it wasn't long until his words snapped him out of her trance for they were so out of the ordinary. slay the evil witch? it caused her to emit a cute little giggle, her mouth hanging open as she tried to reply with something just as witty, yet before she knew it, angie was swept up and back into the library whether she wanted to or not. she was a bit thankful, though, for now she wouldn't have to make her seem even lamer with one of her own seldom used, corny little lines.
however, the next few moments were something she didn't expect. plus, it whipped right past angelyn's nose before she could protest. one moment she was in mason's arms. the next the word girlfriend his her ears and before long, she actually saw the librarian blush and they were back in the middle of the library, surrounded by the many cherished books. after a moment of silence, everything finally caught up to her. "girlfriend?" was the first word that was conjured upon her tongue. of course she thought about saying other things, commenting on other parts of the moment, yet angie found it hard to say anything else before inquiring about the word girlfriend. it was a word seldom used in her presence unless two people were talking about how they were girlfriend and boyfriend. angie had never been a girlfriend before and even just being mentioned as a fake girlfriend surprised her. other words began to dance upon angelyn's tongue as she realized where they were. they were in the library and all was right in the world once again. except now, angie owed him. bright, shining eyes locked with mason's as angie grinned, slapping his shoulder lightly. "you're really clever. clever in the fact that i owe you now don't i?" she inquired, raising a curious eyebrow. she couldn't help but laugh at the boy. he had such charm. enough charm to amuse her and enough charm to strum an old lady's heart like an antique, attic-ridden harp. words;; four seven seven !tag;; mason kim park !muse;; goodgood comments;; grah short D:[/blockquote]

She seemed stunned, like she was tagged with a teaser or something, that was kind of funny, and yet it also caused him to worry a good bit. Was she shocked by what he did so much she couldn’t even speak? Well a little bit earlier he was causing her to laugh, and now she was struck down with something like a deadly virus. He smiled at her and leaned against the wall, watching every little move she made, every time she did move it was always gentle and timid, it was honestly cute. He liked shy girls, they weren’t loud and annoying, no they were just about perfect or at least to him anyway. He chuckled when she patted his shoulder like she approved of his actions and he shrugged a little bit. “I already know what you’re going to do for me too!” He said soft yet rather loud at the same time.
He stepped closer to her and rested both of his hands on her slim shoulders and gave her a stern look like he was her parent or something like that. That kind of look. “You.. Are going to let me take you out for dinner.” He said and nodded and pulled back a little bit and grinned widely at her, yeah he asked her out and really she couldn’t say no since she did owe him something and well this was less brutal, or so he thought anyway. Mason’s eye’s met hers for a moment and then he chuckled softly at her expression, really he didn’t know if this girl would turn him into putty or not but he was pretty sure at one point it would happen.

angelyn smirked at the fact that he already knew what she was to do for him. did boy brains really work that fast? then again they were predictable. she expected it to be something like: 'do my homework', 'ask this girl if she likes me', or 'tell one of your friends i want to ask her out'. yet although angie's brain was sharp, she definitely couldn't expect that happened next. as he placed his hands upon her shoulder, she couldn't help but turn tense for a moment from the contact. plus, he was standing quite close to her which could've given her a hint as to what he was going to say. unfortunately, she hadn't expected it and that was what made her fall completely dumbstruck.
angie's mouth dropped ever so slightly as she tried to conjure up words or at least an answer. should i say yes? should i say no? how do i say it? how do i agree without sounding desperate? how do i say yes without sounding like i haven't had a boyfriend for months. wait, angie, you've never had a boyfriend. gah, is this boy crazy? those words and thoughts flooded her mind, twirling and twisting like a mini mcflurry in her head. cheeks turning red, she was so confused and there she stood, silent as a mouse. angelyn just couldn't say no. mason was all too nice, plus, she was bound to her word that she would owe him. then again, why would she say no? he was almost too perfect- only flawed by the fact that he thought she was a mouse. he loved literature, wasn't a complete jerk and he knew many ways in charming any girl's heart and here he was asking angie out. say something, stupid! she snapped at herself. finally, angie bit her lip- the first movement in what seemed like eternity to her frazzled little mind and it must've been at least a good five minutes in real time. "i-i" she stopped, considering her words once again. with a wide grin she nodded at him. "deal." angie couldn't help but giggle a bit. she was so excited yet so scared at the same time. where her hands shaking? she was nearly sure of it. thus, she smacked mason's shoulder once again. pulling her hands behind her back, angie smiled at him, "you're a real meanie you know that?" that was as far as her insults could ever go and truthfully, it wasn't an insult at all, but some playful banter. "taking advantage of a poor damsel in distress for your own needs. what kind of knight in shining armor are you?" she teased him, feeling a bit more confident about things. new energy seemed to rush through her like a bear emerging from winter's hibernation. she took a step back, which was more of a little hop and she glanced up at him with gleeful dark brown eyes, full of a sort of gratitude and delight. does this mean we're boyfriend and girlfriend? ahh he likes me. he really likes me! well, i dunno. he did, didn't he? he said he was going to take me out for dinner. ahh all that matters is that he likes me! she thought happily to herself. for once in her life, she was thinking of something more than the horrible consequences of things. this time, she was looking forward to the good. words;; five eight three !tag;; mason kim park !muse;; goodgood comments;; awah<3[/blockquote]
