Juliet Davis woke up in her dorm room after sleeping for almost six hours. She looked at her clock and groaned as she rolled over to get back to sleep but she couldn't. She got up and put on a pair of blue shorts and a purple tee shirt. She went over to her dresser and opened her first drawer that was filled with bowties and looked for a purple on. She took it out so that she could brush her hair before putting on her bowtie. After that she brushed her teeth in the bathroom before grabbing her red i-pod with matching earbuds. She put on her running shoes as she looked around before grabbing her keys which were on her dresser underneath her book bag.
She walked out of her dorm room and locked the door. She started to go down the stairs and headed out of the building. When she was out she put in her earbuds and turned on her music. She breathed in and out before stretching some. She then started on her jog. She first started out slow before getting better each time. She ran until she got toward the town square and she saw that people were coming. She looked at the time on her i-pod and saw that it was 9:00 in the morning. She smiled at that and then she heard her favorite song come on. She started to sing with the music matching it a little. She forgot that she was out in public and didn't care since she was having a fun time. When the song was over she heard clapping noises and took out an ear-bud and looked around for the source of the noise.

after a long week of lecturing, it was nice to take some alone time. that was a thought rarely ever thought of by a mr. zackary livingston. he had too much time alone, but after sharing small quarters with students, it was nice to escape, even just for a bit. he had no morning classes, which gave him plenty of time to walk around a bit. though the school remained the same since it had opened, the city has changed, and it's still taking zack a while to get used to all the new stuff. he had barely learned how to operate a cell phone. well, not exactly. he learned how to answer calls. he still wasn't sure how to make them or add contacts or, god knows, three way calling. it was all advanced stuff. if there was something that made him feel his actual age, it was the new technology. he was like an old geezer when it came to computers, cell phones, televisions, etc. though despite all the fighting with his stuff, it was like a puzzle trying to figure out how to work it. zack had always been the type of person who liked to figure things out.
as he walked, he heard some kind of voice singing in the background. it seemed to be getting louder. zack get paranoid and looked around, until he spotted what he thought to be the source. the voice belonged to a female, though zack had already guessed that. she looked rather familiar. as she came closer, her facial features started to emerge. zack had recognized her as juliet davis, a student at walkers'. she had the magic touch, and was a healer. though not exactly, her ability worked similar to his own. of course she had no cure for aging like he did, but she was able to mend herself without the agony and wait. she also had a talent that zack was not aware of... singing. instinctively, zack clapped after she had finished. he didn't mean to draw attention to himself, but it was almost like he was an audience at a rock concert. to some, he may come off as creepy, but zack had seen her around halls. she may even had been in one of his classes once. but zack wasn't sure. "i didn't know you could sing." zack had caught up to her now to join her by her side. noticing she was wearing altheletic clothing, zack realized she was jogging. of course, what a perfect day for a jog. why hadn't zack thought of that? though he wasn't dressed for it, zack wouldn't mind a nice run.

Juliet didn't mind the whole thing of going to this school but sometimes it got a little tiring mending your self somewhat after practicing in the training area and you got burned or hurt by something or someone. She sighed as she continued on singing. She loved being in Texas since it was different from living in San Fransisco, California but of course she was use to it and she was use to all of her siblings. Speaking of them thought Juliet I need to talk to them later today to see how they are doing. She smiled at that thought since she hasn't talked to her family in a while. Lucky for Juliet she didn't have any class at this current time and even if she did it would a little hard to get back to the school.
When she was done singing she looked around still looking for the source. Until her eyes landed on the one and only Mr. Livingston. She heard him say "i didn't know you could sing." She looked at the ground while running and tripped over her own shoe. She groaned as she fell down and looked at her leg. She thought great. She said "Yeah I never really let anyone hear me sing except for my family and friends back home." She then looked down at her ankle and breathed in as she laid her hand on her ankle and visualized what was going on. When she saw that it was sprained she visualized it healing. Since it was a little heal she wouldn't get that tired out from it. She smiled when she opened up her eyes and said "So how long were you hearing me sing for." She then rolled up her i-pod so that she could talk to him for a little bit.

zackary was a singer once. a long, long time ago. he wasn't even sure if he still had the voice. sure he thought he was brilliant when he sang in the shower, but only because his judgment was bias. he thought he was amazing at a lot of things. a long time ago, however, he seemed to charm on the girls when he sung. he wasn't going to dare try that though. after so many years of becoming nonexistent with the whole love thing, he lost his voice somewhere down the road. he had been too preoccupied with so many things to keep his mind busy, and it sort of fell through the cracks. though he's heard a lot of good singers and bad singers, and taking into consideration that she was young and probably had little to no singing lessons, she wasn't half bad. she was actually pretty good. better than some of the singers out there. "well, maybe you should share your voice with the world a bit more, they're surely missing out." zackary was quite the charmer he's been told. he also could see talent.
when he was asked how long he had been listening, zackary wasn't sure of the answer. "well, i'd say it took about three minutes. it took you about two and a half minutes to notice i was clapping, and the rest to notice me." okay, so he was stretching it a tad bit. it didn't take her that long, but he had to practically pound his palms into each other several times before she noticed. he watched her admiringly, fascinated by her skill. "that's quite a skill you've got there." he said. "does it work on other people?" he wondered. zackary was always learning. if he could, he would sit and read books all day, but unfortunately, you don't learn everything from just reading.

Juliet has been singing since she was three years old and she loved every single last minute. She loved singing especially with her family since she loved singing with them. Her mom was the professional singer in the family and she and her sister's and brother's got that talent from her. She loved singing so much but she has a little bit of a problem of letting the world hear her sing. She tucked behind a strand of her hair as she listened to him say "well, maybe you should share your voice with the world a bit more, they're surely missing out." She looked at him and said "Thanks for that but I'm a little bit worried and I don't think I'm ready to do that just yet." She smiled at him as she wasn't really ready to let the world hear her voice even though her whole family including this one professor has been telling her that she should let people hear her sing which she keeps on telling them that she isn't quite ready to do that.
She shook her head at him when she heard him say "well, i'd say it took about three minutes. it took you about two and a half minutes to notice i was clapping, and the rest to notice me." She said "It didn't take me that long since I heard you clapping when I was done singing which no one was suppose to hear me sing either." She looked down at that since she didn't like it that some one came and heard her sing when she didn't mean to sing at all. After she healed her ankle she heard her teacher say "that's quite a skill you've got there." She smiled at him and said "Thanks. I get sort of my ability from my grandma on my mom's side. But I am the only one in the whole family that has a power or skill or whatever you want to call this." After she said that she heard him say "does it work on other people?" She looked at him and said "Yeah it does but sometimes its draining by doing it though."

zackary understood the girl's fears, and he respected it. he always wanted to help someone pursue their dreams, since his seemed damn near impossible at the moment. it made him happy to see someone get their dreams. he felt that it was getting him one step closer to achieving his own. that's why he decided to be a teacher here. although he knew that most kids would rather live in the now rather than learn about the history, he wanted to help them understand that history is what created the present. if history was parents, then the present would be their kids. without a kid's parents, they would not exist. besides, he thought he did a pretty good job of trying to keep them interested by bringing in some things that would be considered historical now, and were junk back then. zack could get millions for selling some of the artifacts he had, but if he ever tried, there would be a lo of questions about how he managed to get ahold of it. so it was just for the students' eyes only, and his of course.
zack felt bad for showing appreciation for her singing. she didn't seem happy to hear an audience. it made him feel like a dick, and he wanted to make it up to her, although she really had nothing to be embarrassed about. after long contemplation, he decided to drop it. if there was only one thing he learned from kids, then it was that they did not like persistent, pesky, old people telling them what to do, and zackary was the oldest old person around. fascinated by her skill, or ability, whichever term sounded right, zack wished he knew a bit more about his own. he was so old fashion that he believed there was only one purpose for everything. that's another thing that teaching here has taught him, everything has multiple purposes. zack just needed to learn how to experiment with his ability without killing himself. that was the only obstacle blocking him from advancing in his own dream. "ah, i understand." zack understood the pain. it was kind of what he felt after having to rejuvenate himself. even if he made his skin only a few months younger, it took a lot out of him, he could only imagine what it woudl be like with another person. "well, it's a very useful ability." zack smiled. "mind if i joined you? i promise i won't make you sing or anything." he asked. he liked taking a personal interest in his students, not just one, but all of them.

Juliet didn't mean to say anything mean but she has been told most of her life that she has an amazing voice and should let the world hear her. Except that she doesn't think so quite yet. She said since the silence was killing her a little bit. "Maybe in a little while I well let some other people hear me. It's just that I wasn't excepting to run into anyone from the academy really to hear me and I didn't really plan on it either." She really didn't at all since she just wanted to go out for a run for a little bit then make her way back to the school so that she could get ready for her classes. She loved having the bowtie in her hair since she loved it a lot. She moved her hand to move back her bangs some.
She didn't mean to snap at him for showing appreciation for her singing since she only had her family ever tell her that. She sighed and said "I'm sorry about that but I only had my family tell me that and I barely believe in them about them telling me that I could make it far with my voice. But if you believe in me I think that maybe I could but I don't know if I am ready though." She sighed again since she really didn't believe that she is ready yet. She heard him say "ah, i understand." She said "Well I only get weakened though when I am healing someone with a great amount of stuff." She sighed since it was true that only if the thing was bad and that it might take her a while to heal him would she feel tired after doing it though. She heard her teacher say "well, it's a very useful ability." She saw him smile at her so she smiled at him as well. She heard him say "mind if i joined you? i promise i won't make you sing or anything." She smiled at him again and said "Well like on my run or if you just want to sit here and talk since I have to sort of get my breath back. And you can talk to me about my singing I don't mind since that's what my mom would say if she heard you say that." She smiled at him since it was true her mom would probably really say that.
