crashed on the bed in mid afternoon, jason snored away. living his double life of classes throughout the day time and partying in the night, didn't give him much time for rest. you'd think that someone who could be able to manipulate time would be able to have time. but manipulating time would require him to stay awake and conscious of things. fortunately for him, it was finally the weekend, which meant he had time to sleep in, if only he wasn't been shrewdly awaken by the rough noise that was just outside his door. he tossed and turned, until finally he couldn't pretend anymore. he sprung up from his bed, feeling a bit rejuvenated and opened the door out to the hallways. a fight had broken out. just great, thought jason as he closed the door. he could have easily stopped the fight, but he was just too tired. besides, they deserved every beating for waking him up three hours earlier than he was hoping for. but now that he was up, it was impossible to make him go back to bed.
last night when he crashed, he had completely forgotten to take off his pants. he was starting to feel the tightness of his pants causing a discomfort for his entire lower body. he had to peel off the pant legs, piece by piece, until he was only in his boxers. his roommates were used to jason walking around in his boxers, and likewise for them. his legs finally were free from the fabric and he felt even better. he tossed the jeans into the washer to wash it later. he knew that he needed to do chores today, which is why he was trying to put it off for as long as he could. he couldn't believe that since he's moved out of his mom's house that he still had to do chores. he headed to the bathroom to brush his teeth and he stared at his reflection in the mirror. his hair was all over the place, and he needed to shave. just what he wanted to do. he couldn't stand facial hair, otherwise he would put off shaving till later as well, but he forced himself to suck it up and shave.
ten minutes later, he wiped his clean shaven face and smirked at himself. much better. he walked out of the bathroom and headed to the small living room. plopping down on the couch, he wondered if any of his roommates were there. it didn't seem like anyone was there, but jason didn't care to check the other rooms. jason turned on the television and flipped through the channels. his stomach began to grumble, but it took too much energy to get up and get something from the fridge. as he flipped through the channels, he wondered where riley had gone to. the two of them were usually inseparable, but lately jason hasn't seen much of his friend. he knew that riley wasn't adjusting as easily as him, since he wanted to learn something and jason just wanted to get out of the house. but the two of them were supposed to look after each other, since their parents didn't really care. jason prayed that riley wasn't off stirring up trouble. maybe he should have looked at the people fighting in the hallways a bit closer just in case riley was in it, but the banging sounds had subsided. thinking about riley, jason became worried. it wasn't like riley to disappear without even a call or text to tell jason what's up. jason pulled out his phone and texted riley a simple 'hey.'

Riley sighed, as he sat on his bed, waiting for something to happen. Though nothing was, life was officially extremely boring. He looked around his dorm, only one other person was here. He didn't know him, and wasn't friends with him. Riley rarely made friends with people, in his dorm. He wasn't interested in friends. Friends just constantly stabbed you in the back. Except Jason.
Riley tried not to think about him, for he would soon get stuck on him. He just wanted to change the subject in his mind. Riley walked to his closet, and got some basketball shorts, and a white T-Shirt. He pulled them quickly on, as right now he was only in his boxers. Although, he liked the way his chest looked. He was probably going to end up going somewhere. So might as well get dressed.
Riley grabbed his phone, as he heard some banging a few rooms across. Jason had texted him, but first he needed to figure out what the banging noise was. He walked out of his dorm, and approached the sound. A couple of kids fighting. Riley hadn't used his powers in a couple of days, so he could use it now. Concentrating, the guys slowly began to drift apart, when Riley lost concentration they fell to the floor with a thud. Riley smiled and returned to his phone.
" Hey, I'm coming over. " he hit send. He realized he was only a few rooms away. So he walked over there. He saw the door, and knocked four times. " It's me Riley ! " he yelled.

jason was beginning to grow paranoid. with every passing second, he glanced at his phone to see if he had gotten any reply from riley. jason hated depending on his phone, he was beginning to start to become obsessed. he didn't mean to get like this, but the television wasn't drawing his attention much either. after about the twentieth time he checked his phone, he finally gotten a response. he barely had enough time to look at it before he heard a knock at his door. he didn't think riley would come over, let alone as quickly as he did. a simple text back would have just been fine. jason climbed out of the couch and yelled back, "i'm coming." to the boy behind the door.
he had completely forgotten that he was still in his boxers until he opened the door and exposed himself in front of riley as well as the entire hall. the boys who had previously been fighting stopped what they were doing and stared. jason shrugged, not really caring if they saw or not. it wasn't like riley hadn't seen it before. "took you long enough," jason teased, then remembered that riley's dorm was only a few doors down. he left the door open for riley to come in and headed to the kitchen. now that he was up, he might as well get something to eat. "you hungry?" he asked, looking through the pantry and moving on to the refridgerator. he struck out in both places. he closed the door of the fridge and saw his roommate's advertisement for pizza. "how about we order pizza!" jason offered, assuming that riley was going to stay awhile of course.
without really listening for a response from riley, jason whipped out his phone and dialed the number. he paced back and forth in the midsection between the kitchen and the living room. "uh, yes, can we get one large sausage and cheese pizza." jason asked. after he exchanged his address, he hung up. he took a seat on his couch and looked at riley. jason felt bad that he not adjusting as well as him. jason had no problem with the teacher's lack of teaching, but he knew that riley felt the opposite. "so, what's been going on?" he asked, realizing that it had been a really long time since they had hung out. though they lived closer than ever, it seemed to be harder to keep in touch.
jason stretched himself out on the couch and relaxed, giving riley enough room to sit comfortably himself. though he had heard lots of rumors about riley and his adjustments to the place, but not a whole lot from riley, which was understandable. jason really should learn how to balance his time more now that he was a free man. if only there wasn't so many goddamn things that could go wrong with his actions. wasn't this place supposed to teach you rules how to avoid certain problems that might occur when trying to cast or do their skill, or whatever it was called.

As Jason opened the door. Riley smiled, glad to see him. Though it wasn't as he pictured him, for he was in his boxers. But didn't bother Riley all that much. Riley entered and looked around the dorm. Most of the dorms were the same, although the occupants who stayed their could decorate how they wanted. Well thats how Riley thought it was. Taking a deep breathe in, Riley watched as Jason made his way over to the fridge, and finding nothing, he asked Riley if he was hungry. But didn't give him time to reply, and just ordered out. Though Riley wasn't really hungry, he could eat anyways.
Riley sort of felt awkward here, he didn't know if any of his roommates were still here. If they were, Riley would probably leave, and just text Jason for the rest of the day. Riley wasn't really good with other people. Taking a breathe in, Riley made his way over to the couch, and plopped down. He looked at Jason, then at the T.V . He wasn't into T.V, so he shoved his hands into his pocket, and pulled out his phone. Playing a game, he looked once more around the dorm. Just to make sure none of his roommates were here.
