With the music blasting in his earphones, the black-haired male turned down the music once he was completely finished toying with his motorcycle. It was his baby - one of the few things in life he actually - truly loved. That and his adopted family, who had treated him with respect, and now, his twin brother. He grinned, both he and Alex had plans this weekend to hang out, which he was quite excited for. That was only Sunday though, he needed plans Saturday. Wiping his hands on his jeans, he headed back up to his dorm room and then proceeded to change, checking the time. It was around 6:30 on a Friday night and he had no plans. How original. Sighing softly, he texted his brother to see what he was up to. Alex already had plans. Cursing in French, one of his favorite things to do, the black-haired guy then changed and fixed his hair somewhat, which was slightly longer than his twin's. Grinning once he was all ready to go, he headed outside, strolling out towards the town square. There may or may not be a party tonight, but either way, he felt like socializing, getting out of the school for most of the night if he could do that. Setting his phone on vibrate in the back pocket of his jeans, he liked that guys didn't need to use a purse like girls, and carry practically everything in it. All he needed was his phone, his keys, and his wallet - that was it. Eying some girls, he threw a casual smile their way, and one even winked back. Now that was new. Sure he'd flirt, but right now, he was just waiting to see what would happen, he personally didn't want to have to do anything tonight, besides maybe meet someone new. Who knew...

Changing his route slightly, he headed directly into the mall, knowing that it might be a mistake, but there didn't seem to be too many people there right now. Pausing slightly, dark eyes wandered slightly towards a guys' store specifically for guys. That was a refreshing thought. Grinning lightly towards a guy he noticed working in there, the dark-skinned male continued on, heading towards the food court, thinking about grabbing something to eat, or just to drink and then sit and people-watch. A fun hobby, though sometimes it was better with someone else. Once he got a drink, he debated against it, and just casually walked around, glancing between all the different types of people. It was fun to build back stories for people he noticed. Course they could be as random as he wanted them to be, a reason why he did that. Sitting down on a bench they placed conveniently in the mall, he stretched out his 6'2" frame, enjoying passing the time by. Though, as he heard fireworks or something start, he figured he'd head to the "beach" party soon, but first he waited to see if he found someone to hang with first. After a few minutes, he headed out fully into the square, where some people were passing by to head to the party in the park. As he exited the mall, finishing off his drink, he wandered randomly into the square now, looking around, sniffing slightly, smelling a wonderful perfume. Where was that coming from? Following it, it was delicious, he then landed on someone playing a guitar, and quite well too. Dropping a 10-dollar bill casually into the case, he stood by her side quietly, listening to her, as well as smelling the scent wafting from her. Ok, he'd happily wait to talk to her, why not? Besides, his brother played guitar, maybe he should learn...but right now, he wanted to learn about her. Then, sniffing again, he realized it wasn't perfume, it was shampoo. Excellent, then his nose wouldn't drown in it completely. Grinning lightly, he nodded politely towards her if she looked his way, patiently waiting, feeling like a school-boy.

Her hands swept over the stings of her guitar slowly at first, and then the playing got faster until it was at a steady beat. Her eyes were shut as she played, and her brown and blonde bangs swept over her face. She was glad to be off campus for a little while. Actually, she was just glad to be away from the world and somewhat in her own as she played her music. That was honestly the only thing she really cared about. Well, her music and her only two friends at Walker High. As she let her mind escape, she opened her guitar case so that if anyone did happen to pass by while she played she would get a small tip. Hey, you gotta make money somehow right?

The girl had played maybe three or four songs before she started to sing to them, and it just so happened that with her luck it was during that song that someone gave her a tip and then stood there to watch her perform. She continued to play, but mid song she decided to look up and see who was watching her. Though on the exterior, she was still calm and collected as she played, her mind was freaking out because she had seen the guy before. Not just anywhere either, no it was never that easy. It was some guy from school.

Though she wanted to just stop right there and walk away without saying a word otherwise, she didn’t. Instead, she stayed there and finished her song then didn’t start on another one. “Can I help you?” Her voice monotonous as she looked up at the dark haired classmate of hers, with a simple bored expression. She probably sounded like a bitch, but she really didn’t know how to talk to people. She never had to in her life, and it wasn’t like she was going to start any time soon. In her mind, no one was worth trying to get along with: not even family. It showed everywhere, considering she only had two ‘friends’ at the school. Actually, those were the only two friends she’s ever made.

Standing there patiently, he allowed his thoughts to wander for some moments. Yes, he did definitely recognize this girl, she went to the same school he did, though he wasn't sure on her year, he was a senior, so she may be in his class - may not be. Either way, he did recognize her, just didn't have a name to put with the face...yet. Grinning playfully at this thought, he remained there, eying some other people who approached, listening to her sing and play the guitar, her fingers flying over the strings like bees. He'd admit he was jealous of people who had actually taken the time to learn to play an instrument. Course he had learned he had a passion for acting, a skill he planned to use once he got older and out of high school. Was he planning to take Hollywood by storm? No, he knew it wouldn't be easy, but he had plenty of other things to fall back on. But acting was his dream, he knew Alex's wasn't acting, but acting was like number two or three on his list. Thinking about that for a moment, he knew he'd return here, to Texas once he got older. That way he could give money to Walker's High to keep it going for awhile, as well as donating to things like the Red Cross, or just help out with that with his senses. He chuckled softly at that thought, him finding things faster than a dog probably would raise thoughts and concerns after awhile. Grinning deviously at those thoughts of the future, he brought himself back as the girl's head moved, her bangs falling to her face as she moved her head slightly, playing the guitar faster as her song picked up. It had to be an original. He didn't recognize the lyrics - or the tempo from any song he had heard, which he gave her credit for. It was refreshing to hear an original work for once.

The moment he heard an inquiry shot at him, he jerked his thoughts back to the present when he heard the girl ask him - with quite a tone too. He allowed a pleasant grin to plaster itself on his face, and he shrugged, "Sure, but go ahead and finish, I'm quite enjoying it."

She sat there and rolled her eyes as she set her guitar down and began gathering the money from her case so she could put her instrument away. “I was actually going back to school, so that means I am done here” her voice still held the same tone, but with a bit of agitation at his grin. How could someone be amused with someone else, when they were acting the way she was? That was what agitated her. A small smile was on her lips from him complimenting her music, considering no one ever did. Mostly she heard ‘stop that noise’ from her parents and that was it. Never a positive comment at all, so it was nice to her to hear one for once.

“So, as I asked before,” she put the money in her pocket and her guitar in its case before closing it and picking it up so she could look down at the boy “can I help you?” she asked in a slightly less harsh tone this time. Sure she didn’t really want to talk to the boy, but he was there and from the looks of it he wasn’t going to go away unless she made him. She could, but with all the locals hanging around, it would be dangerous and honestly Artemis didn’t want to get expelled from the only place keeping her away from her family.

As she began to pack stuff away, cleaning up the tips and money she'd gotten, the black-haired male watched the money disappear, before hearing her mention she was finished here anyway. Unphased, he remained there, watching her intently, curiously in a way. Aiden remained there patiently, sitting down on the ground, twitching. He and Alex had a thing where they hardly stopped moving, Aiden because he had the animal shifting, and Alex because well...he was Alex. Tilting his head slightly, he paused and mused lightly, "Oh, good. I was thinking about that too."

[/color] he eyed her quietly, wondering if she'd shoot him down. That was highly probable. Perking slightly as he heard some people mention the two of them in their whispered conversations, dark eyes lifted to meet her's quietly, and he added politely, "I'm Aiden, by the way."[/color] Remaining seated on the ground, he felt quite short, especially when she stood up. He was so used to being taller than people at 6'2", that it was kind of nice to be shorter than someone for once. Course, his little man mind thought, he liked being taller than his girlfriend, though he figured it'd be very hard to find a girl 6-foot tall. Unless she was....like them and made herself taller or something. He wasn't sure. Either way, the black-haired male fell silent, listening to the girl when she spoke, looking down at him. As she spoke, sounding less harsh this time, he felt his stomach's knots untie themselves, before he lightly stood up, smoothly despite his size and eyed her quietly, before responding, "No, don't think you can."[/color]

He hesitated, then quickly added, "Well, in a way yes....if I can have you name...?"[/color] That was what he'd really like too. Her name. It would be fun, he just knew it. He had a gut feeling that she'd have a name he'd like to hear roll off his tongue. Keeping that thought to himself, Aiden then wanted to know exactly what this girl could do. He was always curious to see what others could do, just the vast variety of students that the professors were able to track through genetics, or just by hearing about them through telepaths and what-not. Part of the reason why if he didn't get a big break in Hollywood, he'd come back here and teach. It would be a fun job, he liked teaching - tutoring at least for now, and plus, he got his summers off. Which meant traveling and spending time with people he cared about. Who-ever that may be. He'd just have to wait and find out. One hand neatly fell into his pocket, tilting his head gently towards the girl, hoping he'd at least get a name out of her before she should - he hoped not - walk away. "I like the shampoo by the way."[/color] he grinned sheepishly, unable to help himself, before wrinkling his nose slightly, his canine senses coming into play. He chuckled lightly, and gave her a look that read he just couldn't have helped himself.

“Oh, good. I was thinking about that too.” She gave him a skeptical look. “Really?” Her eyes narrowed in curiosity at his statement. “You don’t really seem like the type of person to want to spend their evening bored in a dorm room” she watched him perk up slightly, and she didn’t know why. She listened to the conversations of the people around them, and then she rolled her eyes and went back to listening to him speak. “I’m Aiden, by the way.” He still sat, and for a moment Artemis felt tall. She was rather short actually, only standing at a height of 5’4” in flats, 5’7” in heels when she needed t ware them.

Least to say, when Aiden stood up, she felt really short compared to him. “No, don’t think you can” he said as he eyed her, and Artemis shrugged. “Alright then, bye” she said as she began to walk away but she stopped when he quickly added “Well, in a way yes… if I can have your name…?” A sigh escaped her lips before she stopped for a moment to turn her head to the side just enough for her to speak to him briefly. “Rika” was all she said, not really wanting to say anything more. She honestly wanted to hear him say her name, Artemis, as much as she hated it. Heck, it would probably sound gorgeous if he said it.

Hahahaa. That little tid bit, she kept to herself as she turned around to face him. “I like the shampoo by the way” he showed a sheepish grin as he wrinkled his nose slightly. She blinked, and then raised an eyebrow at him. ‘So he has a power. Huh, I just thought he was one of the locals that had too much money and wanted to go to Walker’ she thought as she nodded. He chuckled lightly, and then he gave her a look that was apparently to tell her he couldn’t have helped himself.

Artemis stood there, looking up at the boy in front of her as she resisted the urge to swoon at his smile. Instead, she frowned. This wasn’t how she liked feeling when she talked to someone, if she talked to them at all. A weird feeling set off her stomach, and she felt her heartbeat slightly faster. ‘I must be getting sick’ she thought, leaving it at that. In her mind, that was the only explanation for how she was feeling. If only she knew, she was anything but sick.

Aiden stuffed both his hands in the front pockets of his jeans for a few moments, he then heard her answer him when he had mentioned about going back to the school. Giving her a simple, light look, and chuckled gently at her response before he mused, "Yeah, I'm down for anything really. It is the weekend after all."

[/color] dark eyes lingered on hers silently for a moment, as if trying to figure out what was going on beneath the surface. Surprise painted his features as she started to walk away. He had figured by now she wasn't the nicest person in the world, but to suddenly walk away? He had to give her credit for that, but still - it did also surprise him. Pausing slightly, Aiden tilted his head, dark eyes landing on her quietly as she walked away, he took about three steps to catch up to her when she suddenly stopped and, thankfully gave him her name. Rika. He liked it, it definitely suited her, the different name for the feisty girl. Allowing a light grin to paint itself on his features when her eyes turned back to him, he approached her, letting her name roll off his tongue smoothly, "Rika...I like it."[/color] keeping his eyes on hers, never taking them off, he added, as he neared her, though stopping enough to give her her personal space. The space he knew that everyone, including girls liked, "I like it a lot."[/color]

Glad he was much closer to her, Aiden took the opportunity to memorize her scent, that way if he was ever out exploring or what-not in the forest, and if he smelled her, he would recognize her scent immediately. As it sunk in that he did have a power to her, he shrugged slightly, then inquired curiously, now that he was closer, he didn't need to worry about someone, hardly anyone really, overhearing them, "So what can you do? Since you’re probably going to walk with me regardless of what I say” a small smile crossed her lips as she began to walk.

Once Aiden was closer to Rika, he took notes of her eyes, facial features and hair. Though her scent did get him, the shampoo scent, course if he was anything but what he was, he'd be creeped out, and he figured Rika would be too if there wasn't Walker's around nearby. Coyly tilting his head slightly, the dark-haired male shifted gently, before noticing Rika take a step back, an odd look on her face. He wouldn't bother attempting to figure out what was going on her head. He'd tried that once, attempting to figure out what was going through a girl's head, but in the end he just got confused, how could they think of all that stuff? Course they did assume a guy's mind circled around only one thing, that one thing being an appendage too. His didn't, and he was pretty sure Alex's did either. They had more...morals, was a good word, to describe that. Yes, especially since his adopted parents had told him to always treat a woman with respect, since they were the one who brought life into the world. Which was an interesting way to put it. Either way, Aiden wouldn't get too philosophical now, he was just concerned with spending as much time with Rika as he could. Curiosity perked when she said about him not being safe if he made her mad. Raising both brows curiously, silently, Aiden allowed a weak grin to spread itself over his lips before he nodded solemnly and mused, "Great, I'll keep that in mind, but my goal isn't to tick you off."

[/color] he admitted. It wasn't worth lying to anyone he had learned quite awhile ago. It just wasn't, then you had to keep that lie up and sometimes lie even more than you had originally planned to.

An amused look fell on his features when she held up three fingers and put one of them down. Arching a brow, he asked curiously, "Mind if I ask what happens when I get three of them?"[/color] he put his hands behind his back, latching them lightly together, as he walked beside Rika, matching his pace easily to match her pace. Hearing her inquiry and then her saying about him walking with her, he nodded, "Shifting."[/color] he stated for a moment before continuing, "Well...it's animal mimicry and shifting so...self explanatory."[/color] He shrugged lightly, eying her quietly, before looking back to her, silently telling her he was eagerly awaiting to see what she could do. He could only imagine, but it would be - he figured - pretty cool, everyone's powers were cool in their own way.
